A brief noteThe front pageThe compilerHis main co-workersA sample pageE-Bhashakosha CDE-Bhashakosha_noteE-Bhashakosha_Demo | Purnachandra Odia Bhashakosha, compiled by Gopal Chandra Praharaj, is a monumental lexicon published in the 1930's. Consisting of about 10,000 pages in seven volumes it contains 1,85,000 words with their meaning in English, Hindi and Bengali. It also describes the words in detail giving many examples of their special usage through quotations from various classics. It also contains much specialised information often of an encyclopedic nature. Copies
of this very important work are practically impossible to get. The
available reference copies are in rather poor condition. Hence this
effort firstly to preserve and then to make it widely and freely
available to all. |
