With the end of the Top End 2009 bushfire season just over the horizon, training for volunteer fire fighters will be starting up again. Fire Fighting 1 (FF1-NT) is at present restricted to Brigade members who actually intend to take up fire fighting duties. Brigade Captains are to advise their local SRFCO or RFCO the names of members who need this training. Names are not to be given direct to Training branch, who will refer you back to your RFCO. Non fire fighting members should do the Basic Wildfire Awareness (BWA) course when it is available. |
