This looks like it may actually be going ahead after all this time. The Brigade will need a first Captain and suitably qualified members to occupy Committee positions and to carry out Training duties. Volunteer trainer/assessors should have fire ground experience and the following minimum qualifications: Training should be conducted by a person who holds the following qualifications(or equivalent) and experience: · TAADEL301A – Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills · Relevant vocational competencies, at least to the level being addressed.
Assessment should be conducted by a person who holds the following qualifications (or equivalent) and experience: · TAAASS401A – Plan and organise assessment; · TAAASS402A - Assess competence; · TAAASS404A – Participate in assessment validation
This person must be approved by Bushfires NT and Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service in accordance with requirements of the Registered Training Organisation (SA Country Fire Service) and be recorded on the BFNT & Training Administrative System (TAS) as an approved instructor for the Firefighting 1 NT course.
