The Northern Territory Library has included NT Bushfire Volunteers in PANDORA,
Australia's Web Archive, under the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004. This
Act requires documents published in the Northern Territory to be deposited
within two months of publication. 'Document' means any document available to the
public including internet publications, websites and PDF files. Further
information about the Publications (Legal Deposit) Act 2004 can be found on the

The National Library has traditionally collected Australian publications in print, but it is also committed to preserving electronic items of lasting cultural value. The Northern Territory Library undertakes the archiving of significant Northern Territory electronic publications and websites on behalf of the National Library. Additional information about PANDORA can be found on the National Library's server at: http://pandora.nla.gov.au/index.html The National Library will take the necessary preservation action to keep your publication/website accessible as hardware and software changes over time. The Northern Territory Library will catalogue your publication and add the record to the National Bibliographic Database (shared by over 1,100 Australian libraries), which is extensively used by researchers and library users in Australia and overseas. |
