Haven't found what you're looking for? Drop the webmaster an email and as long as it comes within the scope of this website - most areas covered by Bushfires NT in the Northern Territory - the information will be obtained, if available, and posted on this site. Alternatey, you may wish to contact your local Bushfires NT office. Please note that scientific studies, bushfires research and study notes are well covered in other websites and not included here. This site isn't trying to compete with others, but to fill the gaps left by them. Do you reckon that it's missing something, or that some page is irrelevant or a load of bull? Contact the webmaster for something to be done about it. There are links to other websites throughout this site. They are routinely tested to see that they are still valid and relevant, however, one or two may be missed from time to time. If you find a dead link please contact the webmaster.
This website was built under Google Chrome - it was very incompatible trying to build with Internet Explorer. Some pages viewed under Internet Explorer have photos, etc. out of alignment compared with Chrome. Adjusting under one web browser upsets viewing under the other, so pages have been left for better viewing under Chrome.
Sorry about some of the ads, but they seem to have a mind of their own. They are supposed to be tuned to the website theme, but many appear to have absolutely no connection. Your feedback, good or bad, about site content, layout, readability is welcomed.

ContributionsContributions are wanted from volunteer and professional bushfire fighters, and all other interested persons in the community. Send in your articles, news items, photos, whatever. Especially wanted are photos from Brigades' early days.
If you have a lot of photos the best way is to upload them to Picasa and then click on the Share button and add a story, if any, to go with the photos. Picasa is a free photo management program from Google with 1GB free on line storage.
Video clips on this website are first uploaded to YouTube and then played via an embedded link. Videos should be bushfires theme and interesting or funny. Just email the YouTube URL. You must own the copyright of any videos before they are uploaded to YouTube for use on this website. Brigades wanting to build or rebuild their pages themselves should contact the webmaster for that access. Check out Koolpinyah on the NTFRS Volunteers website for a good example of brigade pages. Some brigades may want to go it alone and build their own websites. Google sites is a good way to go. They cost nothing and are easy to set up. Steegle.com is a brilliant help site.
Just send an email with the URL when it's up and ready and a link will be put on this site.
