Asking for trouble

Above: These photos, courtesy Peter Arrowsmith, Berry Springs Volunteer Bushfire Brigade, show an LP gas bottle almost hidden in long grass growing around and up to a house. One can only hope that it will be cleaned up before the start of the bushfire season.

The two photos above show a demountable with dry gamba grass growing alongside. The day before the photos were taken a wildfire burnt to within 2 metres. I haven't shown any photos of the house because all the long grass around it was burnt. Both were saved by fire fighters.

The next lot of photos below show a property ovegrown with mission grass that was almost as tall as the mango trees. A wildfire burnt a lot of trees and was brought under control by volunteer fire fighters with support from water bombing helicopters.

Below: An intense wildfire came within 10m of this shed
