 Just like Joseph Pilates, Bettina grew up in Germany where she took up gymnastics and later dancing. In 1990 she co-founded a dance company with which she performed and for which she also choreographed. Successes included winning the South German Dance Championships, first place in the German Cup for Show-Dance and finishing sixth in the World Championships.
When she came to the U.S. in 2001 she discovered Pilates, fell in love with this holistic exercise method and joined a certification program at Body Precision in Rosemont. Bettina always loved continuing Education. After traveling all over to study with great Pilates Master Teachers she discovered the Eric Franklin Method in 2007. She completed the level one certification in 2008, level two certification in 2009 and the level three certification in 2011. The Franklin Method was the missing link in her education it changed the way she thinks about movement. She teaches at her home in Malvern, PA, Main Line Pilates & Yoga in Paoli, PA and in Miami, FL.She lives in Malvern, PA and Miami Beach, FL with her husband and her dog. |
