New Orleans Club 21 Fat Tuesday
Another wondrous night on the town. So lucky to find this place..it had opened that day. Elegance personnified. We dined on the most splendid food, from a small raised balcony at the back..only a handful of tables..and nothing to block our view of the stage and me drawing. White cloth napkins, waiters in black dinner jackets..and people wandering in off the street in jeans and sneakers. As my US friend " This is America!" Fat Tuesday, who we talked to as we left..he asked if he could make a quick photocopy of my drawing to keep...said he'd been a personal friend of Fats Domino for years. In his 70's..what a character! Wonderful memories of this place and drawing it all..
