Photo 1 Semester 2
 Now that students have learned the foundations of photography we will continue to shore up those foundations as we move into    exploring  expression, subject matter, and metaphor. 

Project : Working with light and shadow

    using techniques discussed in class, alter 3 negatives and make a minimum or 3 prints, 5x7 or larger.

Photo 2/3/4 Semester 2
This quarter students will be be doing intensive shooting with both digital and film cameras with an aim of finding and narrowing subject matter and style. 

Jan 2-6:  Discussions on creating content. 
Jan 9-13: Finish student Teach Ins. Digital uploads and Flicker account set-ups
Project: Photographing the everyday: Distilling the whole
 
  • Students will photograph their everyday lives or ideas for 5 weeks using any kind of digital camera. They will also shoot weekly with their film cameras.
  • Every monday will be spent looking at and discussing the weekly collection of photographs of each student.
  • Students must arrive to class with all of their images uploaded to the "Evidence" group on Flicker, ready to project for the class.  50 pt credit will not be given for unprepared students. 
  • Students are required to give weekly written comments on the "Evidence" group page.
  • First image projections from flicker  accounts Jan 16
Students will be shooting, processing, and printing regularly from film.
