Bethlehem suffered a heartbreaking defeat --2-1-- at Colonie at the Sectional's Semi-final on November 3rd. It was their first loss of the season. Bethlehem, (the number 2 seed) played on Colonie's (the number 3 seed) home field and dominated play for much of the game. Bethlehem scored first after a scoreless first half on a corner kick from Connor McMahon to Ian Ksanznak. Colonie responded with two quick goals by Tommy O and Massimo on long passes from the Colonie defenders. Colonie advances to the finals against Shen on Monday Nov. 7th at Colonie.
Bethlehem started Sectional play on the right note, defeating Ballston Spa 2-0 at Bethlehem on Halloween. It goes without saying that the Hooligans were out in full force and Bethlehem did not dissapoint as they dominated possession throughout the game. Solid defense by Ballston Spa and excellent goalie play by Evan Mendez kept the game tied until Connor McMahon scored a great goal, thirty minutes into the first half, from the twenty after bringing the ball up the field. Connor, had a very good game in the midfield for Bethlehem, as did Ian Ksanzack. Connor also set up Bethlehem's second goal in the second half, sending a nice pass to Zach Rockmore, who was a victim of one of Evan Mendez's many great blocks and saves, but Zach did a nice job of scoring off the rebound. Bethlehem's defense was also solid, led by Kevin Maddock and Brad Campion, who blocked another shot on a well timed slide, as well as Seth Partridge and Jeremy Schumann, who was very active throughout the game. Ethan Gunty and Ethan Strauss also had solid games up top for Bethlehem.
Bethlehem finished the season undefeated with a 6-0 home victory at home on October 24th against Columbia. The Bethlehem Hooligans were in full force and Connor McMahon got Bethlehem and their fans going with the first goal of the game. Ethan Gunty followed with a goal on a nice cross from Zach Rockmore. Ian Ksanznak followed with a goal on another Rockmore assist, which Zach Rockmore followed with his own goal to put Bethlehem up 4-0. Matt Henning scored on a nice assist from Elliot Hiller and Alex Marks finished the scoring on a solid goal off a cross by Kevin Maddock. Alex Kessler had is usual solid game in goal and Brad Campion, Seth Partridge, Kevin Maddock and Henry Taylor played great on the back line. Bryan Cook made several nice saves for Columbia in the loss.
Bethlehem remained undefeated and improved their record to 12-0-3 with a 6-1 victory at Columbia on October 22nd.
Bethlehem dominated play throughout the game. All phases of Bethlehem's team played well as Bethlehem built a 5-0 lead at half time. Bethlehem continued their solid play in the second half, highlighted by some great play by Henry Taylor and solid goalie play by Austin Scro.


Bethlehem remained undefeated and improved their record to 11-0-3 with a 6-2 home victory against Mohonasen on October 20th. The game, as always, was played in front of a large crowd and the Hooligans at Bethlehem. Bethlehem started slowly and Mohonasen took a 1-0 lead into the second half on a goal by Lucas Alberdi off a nice corner.
Bethlehem picked up the pace in the second half after Ian Ksanznak scored to tie the game. Bethlehem's dominant second half play was the result of solid midfield play by Ian Ksanznak, Connor McMahon, and Jeff Pierce, who set up Zach Rockmore and Ethan Gunty with numerous chances, and they took over from there. Zach Rockmore scored three goals and Ethan Gunty had a goal and an assist. Bethlehem's defense also had a solid game, highlighted by a great run and cross by Alex Scheurmann to set up one of Bethlehem's 6 second half goals. Liam Roohan added a goal on an assist from Jan Jenko. Mohonasen scored their second goal on a Bethlehem own goal which Alex Kessler had no chance to save. Bethlehem finishes their season with two games against Columbia, including a make up game (Saturday at Columbia at 7pm and Monday at Bethlehem at 4pm), with a chance to stay undefeated on the season.
Bethlehem remained undefeated and improved their record to 10-0-3 with a 2-1 home victory against second place Colonie on October 19th. The game, played in front of a large crowd at Bethlehem, was hard fought throughout. Both teams played well, including a great game by Zach Stryker until he was injured in the second half and suffered what appeared to be a lower leg injury.
Bethlehem scored first on a goal by Zach Rochmore. Colonie answered on a goal by Paulino Curto. After Zach Stryker's injury, Bethlehem scored on a an assist from Zach Rockmore to Ethan Gunty. Kevin Maddock had a great game on defense for Bethlehem and Connor McMahon, Brad Campion, Zach Rockmore and Ethan Gunty again had solid performances to lead their team to another victory. Tommy Osipitan was always a threat for Colonie but was held scoreless by Bethlehem's midfield and defense.
Bethlehem remained undefeated with a 3-1 victory at Guilderland on October 13th. The game, which was televised by Times Warner cable, was played in front of a large crowd on a perfect night for soccer. Bethlehem had the advantage in possession throughout the game, led by solid midfield play and a strong defense, but Guilderland broke through with the first goal by Lucas Pasquerella. Solid defense, and a few missed opportunities by Bethlehem, kept Bethlehem scoreless until Ethan Gunty scored towards the end of the first half. Zach Rockmore scored twice in the second half to put the game away. Alex Scheurmann and Kevin Maddock assisted on Zack Rockmore's goals.
Bethlehem remains undefeated with a 2-1 victory at Averill Park on October 11th. Averill Park played with great intensity throughout the game. Bethlehem had several good chances in the first half but excellent goalie play by Brandon Westfall kept the game scoreless untill Connor McMahon sent a pass to Ethan Gunty for the only goal of the first half. Averill Park tied the score on a goal by Mac Hoyt on an assist from Nick Hess. The winning goal came on a great cross by Ethan Gunty to Zach Rockmore. The defenses and keepers took over from there.
Bethlehem and Shaker played to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Bethlehem on October 6th. Both goalies, Tommy Macutek for Shaker and Alex Kessler for Bethlehem, had good games.
Shaker stayed aggressive all game and took the lead on a goal by Ryan Casserly on an assist by Connor Brant. Bethlehem responded with a sharp goal by Liam Roohan on a strong cross by Connor McMahon. Both teams had chances in overtime but could not convert.
Bethlehem and Niskyusa played to a 0-0 double overtime tie at Niskayuna on October 4th. Both goalies had solid games on a muddy field. The effort by both teams was impressive.
Bethlehem continues its winning season with a 2-1 win at Mohonasen on September 26th. After a scoreless first half, Liam Roohan started the scoring on an assist from Ian Ksanznak. Mohonasen tied the score on a goal by Kyle Wright. Kevin Maddock sent a long pass to Alex Scheuermann who scored Bethlehem's second goal. Alex Kessler (Bethlehem) and Alec Volans (Mohonasen) had very good games in goal.
Bethlehem varsity boys remain undefeated on the season with a 5-1 home win against Averill Park September 24th. Averill Park started strong and took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Noah Madden on an assist by Dylan Larkin. Connor McMahon had two goals and an assist to lead Bethlehem's comeback. Alex Scheurerm, Liam Roohan and Matt
Henning also had goals for Bethlehem and Jan Jenko added two assists.
Bethlehem remained undefeated on the season with a 4-1 win at Saratoga on September 22nd.
Bethlehem dominated play in the first half but were not able to score until Brad Campion tapped in a rebound towards the end of the first half. Liam Roohan led the Eagles scoring with a goal and an assist. Zach Stryker and Kevin Maddock also scored with Connor McMahon, Ben Russell and Alex Marks adding assists. Eli Sterngrass put Saratoga on the board with an assist from Kieran Mottau. 
The game of the week lived up to its billing as Bethlehem stayed undefeated with a 2-1 win over previousely unbeaten Shenendahowa on Tuesday September 20th.The two top teams in the Suburban Council played a spirited game in front of a huge Hooligan filled home crowd for Bethlehem. Connor McMahon and broke through with a score in the second half on an assist from Ian Ksanznak. Ian Ksanznak played strong throughout and put Bethlehem up 2-0 on a throw-in by Elliot Hiller. Shen made the score 2-1 on a goal by Marcus Moore on an assist from Adam Barlow. Shen almost tied the score on a ball deflected by a Bethlehem defender but Brad Campion made a great diving block with just a few minutes left in the game. Bethlehem's Alex Kessler had a great game with eleven saves as did Shen's Spencer Junco with 6 solid saves.

Bethlehem survived a hard fought physical road game with a 1-0 overtime win against Ballston Spa on Saturday September 17th. Zach Stryker scored the winning goal, with an assist from Liam Rohan, 7 minutes into the first overtime period. Jeff Pierce and Ian Ksanznak played great in the midfield for Bethlehem in front of the solid back line of Brad Campion, Kevin Maddock, Seth Partridge and Austin Lang. Alex Kessler (Bethlehem) and Evan Mendez (Ballston Spa) were outstanding in goal.
Bethlehem remains undefeated on the season with a 3-0 win at home against Burnt Hills on Sept. 15th. The scoring was led by Henry Taylor with two goals and Connor McMahon with a goal and an assist. Bethlehem's back line of Brad Campion, Kevin Maddock, Seth Partridge and Austin Lang continued their season long strong play.

Bethlehem won their first road game of the season with a 4-0 win over Colonie on Tuesday September 13th. After an even start, Bethlehem dominated play at Colonie. Ethan Gunty was on fire, scoring all four goals. The entire Bethlehem team
played well, with Brad Campion and Kevin Maddock leading a solid defense. Ian Ksanznak (two assists) and Connor McMahon (one assist) also played well from their midfield positions.
Bethlehem Varsity hosted their first home game on September 9th, against Guilderland. The teams played to a 1-1 double overtime tie on a wet and sloppy field. Both goalies played well and Alex Kessler made the save of the game on a Guilderland breakaway.
