My father , Reg Harding was the founder of Austin in Canada and started importing these vehicles in 1949. Some of your readers might remember the state of the art showroom at Davenport and Yonge St. [Toronto] beside the first Canadian Tire store. He was the managing director, and I can recall him telling us that they were selling over 50 cars per week. ... He left around 1950-51 to start his own Austin dealership in the east end of Toronto at 2800 Danforth Ave. at Daves Rd. called Reg Harding Auto Sales Ltd.
