A Paris Preview - An iFit Live time-lapse capture
A preview of an upcoming trip to Paris. This takes the form of a time-lapsed screen capture taken off of a simulated walk through Paris on an Internet connected incline treadmill equipped with the iFit Live system. This session was a 7 mile walk, starting at Rue des Tournelles in the Bastille in Paris' 4th Arrandisement, where I secured an apartment for 5 nights. From the apartment the walk visits the nearby Place des Vosges, then continues through the neighboring Marais. The walk continues to the Bastille, then heads north along Blvd. Richard Lenoir where one of Paris' largest markets, the bi-weekly Bastille Market, takes place and was the inspiration for choosing the apartment location. After backtracking on Blvd. Richard Lenoir we continue towards the Aligre, the site of one of Paris' many permanent markets. We then continue towards the city center as we stroll along the Viaduc des Arts (and under the Promenade Plantee), one of my favorite "finds" the last time I was in Paris. We then cross over the Sienne to Ile St. Louis then on to Ile de la Cite, where we briefly pass Notre Dame and St. Chapelle, then return to Notre Dame. Year 4~Day 184 +155/365 AND Day 1280: After the Treadmill
I went to the fitness center and walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes at 3.0 speed without incline. I really work up a sweat walking on the treadmill, but the time passes quickly. I used my Bose headphones to watch TLC, "What Not to Wear." Then I drove over to the Hair Clinic, and Mary Clark flat-ironed my hair. It's a beautiful day, but the sky keeps threatening rain. Woo Hoo! It's Friday. No more workouts until next week. I'm trying very hard to eat properly since I've been invited to a Red Hat pool party. Of course, that means putting on a swimsuit. UPDATE: As I was uploading this photo, the bottom fell out. It's suddenly raining very hard at my house, and the satellite television has gone out. I sure hope the electricity doesn't go out.
