Day 5/365 + These Boots were Made for Running
1.5.10 Gia and I had cabin fever today. The weather has been awful which makes for a cranky toddler, and a mother who is equally pissy, especially with no lovely sunshine to accompany her new lens. We took a little drive to the park after shopping for random items like pickles, skinny jeans, lotion, pajamas, and reduced fat pringles. (what more could anyone ever need?) We had lunch together, or rather I ate and she picked at her food and sang LOUD for others to hear. Afterward, we got to the park only to find the coldest of weather nipping at our nose, all sorts of christmas-song-like. I love park days with Gia. She runs up and down any type of hill she can feel, and refuses to play on the actual playground equipment no matter how hard I try to sell the slide/steps/toys. The good news is, she runs and plays while laughing hysterically. We hold hands and her heart pounds up against mine as we catch our breath and feel the trees. The fog and chill suck, and the rain makes the grass far too wet to sit on and shoot pictures, but at least we got to use our rain boots.

What Would You Say? If you should see a big green tree With candles all alight With pop-corn strings and pretty things And tinsel shining bright With stars that swing and bells that ring All green and Red and blue And lots of toys for girls and boys And lots of candies too And you should hear somebody near Call out in a cheery way: "What sort of tree can this one be?" I wonder what would you say? What a delightful childhood find. This adorable 7" x 9" print is absolutely perfect; flat and smooth; without dings or bumps. The paper is a lovely crisp quality too; finished with a soft and subtle sheen.
