1920's-30's Harley Transmission This transmission was removed from the original bike in about the late 30’s-40’s and put on a car contraption that was powered by an old Maytag washing machine motor. My grandpa bought the little car when my mom and uncles where little and they ran the wheels off of it. The little car was sold some years later then bought back by my grandpa. He restored the car for us grand kids. The transmission was no longer needed. Years later I was home on leave after my grand father’s death and found the transmission in the scrap pile. That was about 1991. I have been packing it around since then. I tried to sell it once on EBAY, but it’s such a rare piece that it didn’t find the right person. Besides, we all need to be packing things of no use to ourselves around for a life time. I just seem to have more then my fare share of ‘Pack Around Inventory’. A train behind a bus!
