Read the Fine Print Isn't it a deceptive practice to advertise a product you don't sell, instead of one that you do? On the back cover of Harpers, February 2008, Chevy says they are cool because they have this plug-in electric car. Only in fine print at the bottom it says, "Not available for sale." You would think Chevy would have to at least say a date and a price. Without that, we can't really judge the truth of Chevy's claim that "the extended-range electric vehicle is no longer just a rumor," and that this represents "An American Revolution." For those who would argue that we should assume General Motors' good faith, consider this additional fine print at the bottom: "Vehicle features and performance capabilities subject to change without notice." In other words, Chevrolet has created the appearance of a claim without claiming anything at all -- I call that deceptive. Leaving and entering
Tiny tilt-shift scene I shot with the Canon G9 while scouting for timelapse locations in the city. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to shoot a sequence at the time. But I thought the timing was pretty cool when I took this snapshot, the parking was kinda crowded but one car is leaving and one entering. Processed in Photoshop CS5 with Alien Skin's Bokeh and Exposure 3 plug. Using Technicolor process 4 for the filmstock simulation.
