In vehicles wih an automatic transmission, the transmission fluid goes into the radiator right where I'm tightening the nut holding the line in. The transmission fluid (or oil as some call it) comes back out of a similar line about six inches further down. The fittings were slightly rusty and had siezed in the old radiator, so I had to buy a special wrench so that I wouldn't destroy the nuts.

A transmission cooler from Subaru local dealer. It stretches across the front of the car and should provide plenty of cooling for the transmission. Originally intended for cars with tow bar, this will be a safety buffer for when I start trotting down the path of increasing power.
