1958 Ford Prefect 100E
This is the 4 door version of the 100E range. It had a 1172cc side valve engine with a 3 speed gearbox (no synco on 1st gear). The windscreen wipers were vacuum operated, the faster you drove the slower they went. If you went uphill the wipers stopped altogether. The seats were PVC covered for which you could buy special paint to repaint then with, which I did many times. Picture taken on a camping holiday in Devon during 1971. Sprinkler Stop Valve Inside
