Ball Valve
Sometime in the early 2000's Lincoln got in bed with BMW and Jag and created the Lincoln LS. One of the many problems these vehicles develop is inactive air conditioning. The problem is with the DCCV valve, a part that controls coolant flow to the HVAC system. When the part fails, as it did in this car, all you get is HOT air coming out of the vents. It's a $600 repair... but .... If you're willing to twist a valve twice a year (once in the winter and once in the summer), I'll fix you up for under $100 by installing a 1/2 inch ball valve in the supply line to the DCCV.
