    high pressure
  • (of a salesperson or sales pitch) Employing a high degree of coercion; insistent
  • Involving a high degree of activity and exertion; stressful
  • hard-hitting: aggressively and persistently persuasive; "a hard-hitting advertising campaign"; "a high-pressure salesman"
  • High pressure science and engineering is studying the effects of high pressure on materials and the design and construction of devices, such as a diamond anvil cell, which can create high pressure.
  • Involving or using much physical force
  • A high-pressure area is a region where the atmospheric pressure at the surface of the planet is greater than its surrounding environment. Winds within high-pressure areas flow outward due to the higher density air near their center and friction with land.

from the TS (Turbine Steamer) King Edward, built 1901, the first steam turbine ship in commercial service. The ship's boilers generated high pressure steam, just as in conventional ships of the day. Instead of valves and pistons, the steam was expanded through a high pressure turbine and then, to boost efficiency, was expanded again through two larger low pressure turbines. This resulted in greater output and efficiency than could be obtained with conventional reciprocating engines. The turbines were built by C.A. Parsons, the inventor of the modern steam turbine. TS King Edward, incorporating the novel engines, was built by Denny Brothers shipbuilders of Dumbarton, Scotland. Seen at the Scottish Maritime Museum, Irvine

Back side of boiler and fire box showing the safty / relief valve . It must not have a very high operating pressure as the brass valves are only rated to 150 PSI " even though they can handle more pressure " . I didn't see this one in the water , the canopy and smoke stack are removed for transport . It's a nice size for trailing and very well taken care of . I don't know if this is a kit or handmade . But even a kit is tons of your own work . Imagine if you had to build your car after you bought it . And then costumize parts so they fit . Well that's everyday for me , just not cars or boats .
