Composition wise this is not the easiest of reservoirs to photograph without embarking on a bit of a hike. No time for that so I rattled off a few shots with the sun in the frame - I'd no real idea how they'd pan out. Sure enough most were rejects but by some quirk of the light/lens I got some lovely sun rays on this one and the tower and walkway remained nicely illuminated. Turned this version to monochrome and added some vignetting to add a bit of drama. In answer to Prescottspies question, no this isn't produced using any in camera HDR function, the a900 I use doesn't feature this. I still don't do HDR in the usually meant sense, i.e multiple shots put through Photomatix or some other programme. This effect was created using a combination of Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. I've only the most rudimentary skills with these packages so I don't do anything especially clever.
