Hopefully waiting
Hmm So yea, a good friend moved, so I inherited her washer and dryer. She told me the dryer didn't dry clothes the first time around, I wanted to see what it was doing before I called a repair guy. So I attempted to do a load of towels, and after about the 3rd trip in the dryer I gave up. When I got home from work this morning, I called my repair guy and he told me to pull the dryer back from the wall, and see if the hose was collapsed. It was so I went and bought a new one, so I have the towels back in the washer, and I will try them again. I bought this little gem at lowes since I can't fit between the dryer and the wall to fix it...it just lets the lint in the bucket...so if it's fixed..I will be very proud of myself!

Gave up for the night when I realized I had to order a part. Is it cheating if I don't make my own replacement felt and glides? No matter. I'm sure if we'd sourced heat resistant felt and adhesives we could have made such a thing, but honestly, the replacement parts weren't that pricey, and they came with a spare belt and, oddly, a spare ball hitch. Replaced the belt. Left the old hitch in place, as the screw holes felt too tight--as if somebody'd made the washer using English measurements and the replacements using Metric.
