I bought a second hand Sigma 70-300 lens the day before Christmas Eve on Ebay and have eagerly awaited its arrival ever since. I was hoping it would help me grow as a photographer and take my pictures to the next level. Alas, all it has done is to disappoint. I tried it for the first time today (Error 99) and discovered that the Seller had misrepresented what was on offer (by witholding the age and model of the lens) and I have been had. This aged lens is possibly the only 70-300 model that doesn't work with todays DSLR's and cannot be rechipped. I have contacted the Seller to return it but I think I'm going to have a fight on my hands. I dislike confrontation and feel a sense of gloom this evening whenever I think about both the lens and returning it. I couldn't of a better way to express how I feel other than to use a normal snap snap digital camera to create an image of the lens in question and share it with the world or whoever is looking.
