Intermittently, I'd get that questions asked. Sometimes, when filing in forms, we'd be asked to specify our eyes' colour. One day, as I was filing in some forms with some friends, one of then noticed that I had written down "black" for my eyes colour. He stopped me on the track, asked me to stand up so that he could take a closer look at my eyes. Then he declared that my eyes' colour is brown and not black. Thus, he told me to erase what I've written on the form and change to to brown or dark brown. I was thinking, this is crazy! Has my eyes changed colours from the years that I was living in the USA? and what could possibly caused that if it's indeed true? He went on telling me that experts said that 99.9% of those who have listed their eyes' colour as black are actually not black but either brown or dark brown as black eye colour is very rare indeed. Later, at home, I took out a hand mirror and tried to see really and to ascertain as what colour is my eyes really! Gullible me!!!! Lately, I've many people asking me if I wear coloured contact lens. I'm puzzled really but later on concluded that perhaps they are asking this question after looking at the colour of my eyes in the photos of my self that I've posted in my flickr account! I don't really look at the photos at the magnified level and didn't really notice! But, hey! my eyes are brown!!!! and here it is.... after colour intensity added!

This is my first time trying to do some macro makeup photography. Thankfully my friend Amy Dunn has so many fabulous shots it inspired me to try shooting this style. It was a very rushed shoot as things went behind schedule and by the time the model was done we had less then 1/2 hr to shoot her for the three of us. I threw together a quick macro setup and we used a AB800 at 1/4 power with a socked beauty dish, triggered by a pocket wizard.
