Schedule Management. It took getting back in school to really organize and prioritize my time. And ironically I got myself prioritized and ready for school, so I could take a class on time management. Brilliant. I do keep this calendar in front of me most of the day. I also keep a desk calendar on my wall at home and on my desk at the office so I can see what is happening on the month level- not just the daily and weekly. It’s been actually motivating to keep this up. My personal opinion is that you can never be too organized!

Along with Type 1 diabetes, Daniel also has Asperger's. We do picture schedules for him on our refrigerator. This is his morning schedule which includes his maintenance items for his diabetes. One of the blessings we have had in the world of diabetes is that our son loves schedules and can not live without them. Having diabetes is all about keeping with the routine. Maybe someday, when there is a cure, he will have a schedule he gets to choose.
