I awoke a week ago after returning from a business trip with an almost complete inability to move my neck. It's not actually that uncommon for me after a week on the road as my head extends well beyond most economy airline seats. With a little Advil and some stretching, I'm usually back to normal within the next 24 hours of being home. This time however, a week later and I was still just as tight. It was so bad that it was starting to impact my quality of sleep and my mood during the day altogether. Playgroup was at our house this past week and we had a great turn-out. Generally Marna sprays all the toys down with antibacterial Lysol before and after playtime. This week however she didn't get to the after part. A few days later the skin at the side of her right eye began to irritate her. A few more days later and the whole area was red and burned when Marna's eyes produced any tears. The soreness provoked tears, which led to burning which led to tears, which led to... When I awoke this morning, I figure that enough was enough. I was going to the doctors office to get my neck fixed. While I was at it I made an appointment for Marna as well. The chiropractor put me on a massage machine initially to loosen me up before the "alignment". What came next was sheer delight for her and moments of shock and panic for me. The chiropractor would later recount my "alignment" to Marna by saying that "seeing all his limbs go spread eagle really made my day." Let's just say that I was really messed up. I'm feeling much better now though. Marna was diagnosed with a stapf infection around her eye, which she most likely obtained from one of the kids earlier in the week. The doctor gave her a note of an over-the-counter medication that she should pick up and apply to the skin around her eye. When we got to Walgreens later today, we found out that it's actually prescription medication. Doh! Needless to say that Marna is still very much in that tearing, burning loop.

hmmm.... you can't really see it, but there's a scarecrow in there, and it's totally cool. Also, the Dalek has dalekanium panels missing on the back
