This is my new aquarium, and new home to my two clownfish (A. ocellaris), and their sea anemone (E. quadricolor). There is one female porcelain crab (N. maculosus), and two cleaner shrimps (L. amboinensis). There is also neon green polyped leather coral (Sarcophyton sp.) The tank is an ADA Do!aqua rimless cube tank, which is situated on a black, three tier cabinet. The tank measures out to about 12" on all sides, averaging about 7.2g. When I thought this aquarium out, I did my best to envision a display piece that would look sleek, modern, and simple. Whether or not I succeeded in this regard is up to you, however with this in mind, I am throughly pleased with the outcome. Lighting over the tank is three LED lamps. The lamps are mounted to a light track, which in turn have sockets for the bulbs. I've decided to mix two types of LED lamps -BoostLED 20K lamps (2), and one Evil Par38 12K (1). In conjunction with one another the temperature balances out to a nice comfortable 14K, I'd say. Temperature is kept constant @ 78F by use of a Ranco external temperature controller wired to a 75w heater. Circulation is taken care of by an EcotTech Vortech MP10, set to Lagoon mode @ 15% (night mode ~7%). All electronics (Ranco temperature controller, MP10 driver, and power supplies) are all stowed away in the top drawer for the cleanest look possible. The tank is "bare bottom," in that there is no sand on the bottom. This allows for easier nutrient export on my part. The lack of sand also allows me to crank the circulation up without worrying about a sandstorm. No protein skimmer is used on this tank -only weekly water changes. Less technology, more biology.

Guppy

Can you tell that I'm having fun with my close up filters? Managed to get some fairly decent pictures of the fish this afternoon despite the light not being at its best.

This is my last remaining guppy - my heater broke down last week, and while I got a replacement asap, it finished off my other guppy :( To be fair though, he had been looking a bit peaky for a week or so prior.
