I didn't shoot this with a tilt-shift, and I didn't add the effect in post. The only editing was the crop and b/w conversion. I shot this at 135mm with my 18-135mm lens. So, here's the story… I went out to shoot around 3am Saturday night....I mean, Sunday morning. It was foggy out, I had to. As I was about to put my camera on the tripod the glass piece of the lens fell out. This probably isn't the best way to describe it, but the portion that fell out was the glass you see from the outside of the lens attached to a plastic/metal tube with a smaller piece of glass on the other end. I didn't look it too close as it was dark out and I was more concerned about whether I had just broke my lens or not. Luckily, it didn't land on concrete so it didn't shatter or scratch the glass at all. So, I basically just popped it back into place. I was able to get one shot after that but decided to just head home after that and check it out in the morning. Everything looked fine on Sunday so I decided to test the lens all day. Everything looked fine in the viewfinder and the lens stayed in place the whole time. All of the shots on my computer looked fine as well until I opened this one in photoshop. I was about a block away from this building when I shot this. I didn't think it was anything special and didn't really intend on sharing it until I noticed the almost tilt-shift effect. As I said, I was about a block away so there's no way there should be this sort of blurring of to any part of the image. I do remember my focus was on the top third of the frame, which is the only part of the image that is barely in focus. I have no money to repair or buy a new lens. Basically all I can afford right now is rent, gas, food. Paying off student loans is taking all of my money. Anyways, I rarely shoot this far zoomed in so I think i'll just keep shooting unless I notice anything else strange, or until the glass falls out again….I just figured I would post this to see if anyone out there has heard of this problem and if there's anything I can do to fix it. Also, over the last 6 months or so this lens has had a loose connection. It will often read "--" for the aperture and I can't take a photo until I shift the lens into place. This is the lens I use for 90% of my photos...
