I am working on a completely revamped version of BerryStats in .Net, which should allow for some additional nice features that I can't do in ASP such as dynamic statistics updates on the page (without refreshing), easier setup and lower overhead overall - - not to mention a much better authentication piece. Not to mention that, but I have acquired a license of Anychart for my project (thank you to Anychart and Anton!)...so we will see yet another rendition of the charting mechanism.
I've not been around for awhile, and I apologize for that, we've had a BUSY holiday season, but I will be working at it again shortly. I'll let you know when a beta is available!
Happy new year, everyone!

This could be considered a "Release Candidate". This has some minor fixes to the lite.asp page. Also, you will now find that BerryStats will write events to the event log (although currently, they are showing up as source: WSH).
I did have one minor glitch with the adduser.asp page today, so the package has been re-uploaded.
If you are upgrading over .58, you should be able to drop all the files into your BerryStats folder and not have to run setup.asp.

- More granular search mechanism in the 'find user' page.
- More granular search mechanism in the 'add user' page.
- Most self-service issues have been resolved.
- Nested LDAP groups are now supported!
- Flash-based charts added to index page for administrative role - removed for all others.
- Activation password restrictions have been added (random password, hide activation password on lite.asp, etc.)
- Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License
Beta .59a has some issues, especially with the adduser.asp page - I am working on these with my testers (Rick/Jeremy!) |

No one likes to donate if they are anonymous. But let me put it this way - Supporting Berrystats does take time and effort on my part - and also takes time away from my family on occasion. If I can justify the effort to my family that it is worthwhile to all of us, then I can continue to quickly work on issues and feature requests. Trust me, I make nothing from the development of Berrystats, with exception of some new friends, so any help is appreciated...not to mention I have a new child on the way in April of next year! So...If you are using BerryStats and it saves you and your IT department some money, how about a donation? Please click the 'donate' link in the Welcome page...it is much appreciated! You don't have to donate a lot - 10, 20, 50 or 5 dollars is OK with me - want to donate even more? That is OK - ;) Thanks and I hope that BerryStats helps you out as much as it did for me! Donate by following this link to Paypal (my email will show up as uphold2001) Regards, Rob |

| Self service page now is limiting the user to add only themselves, admins now have capability to hide/show IT policy and server drop downs for self-service add user function. You can now export to XLS from the custom reporting screen, and I added 'enable' and 'disable' redirection options to the user management tools (among other fixes/changes - see the changelog for details). |

Now you can allow your users to reset their own device and activation passwords (among other actions) on their own, saving your helpdesk time and, subsequently, IT dollars.

New for this version:
You can customize who can perform what user admin roles - so you could selectively configure who can add a user, delete, set device password, etc.
This means no more entering the BESUserAdminClient password when performing certain tasks! The administrative page is located under the 'BerryStats .ASP' menu item, below the 'Configure BerryStats' option.

With version .54, you can create your own simple SQL query definition files (saved in XML) and copy them to the queries folder under BerryStats! This means you can easily trade reports with other BerryStats users.
Additionally, you can have subqueries based off of the result of the first query, so there is a bit of drill-down capability added. For example, you can run a query that returns all application modules that are installed on all BlackBerrys, then click on a module to discover who has that module installed.
I need to add the export capability to this new report schema...so sit tight!

Fixed bug in 'My BlackBerry' page which showed EVERY user object in the AD attributes section. Added new code for Domino-based besuseradminclient page. You need this if you have Domino or GroupWise! Fixed various redirection problems (due to roles), added self-service add-user admin options, added export capability to reports (via sql.asp), added custom sql query input function, added enable/disable email redirection in useradmin tools.
