The police department consists of 12 sworn full time officers.

The department provides 24-hour daily police coverage to Township of Bern.

Use this number for ALL REQUESTS FOR POLICE RESPONSES other than emergencies.

To contact the Bern Township Police Department regarding administrative matters, to schedule special events, or to follow-up with an officer regarding an investigation, direct contact may be made with the department at:

610-926-2535 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday.

This line provides voice mail for individual department members.

WHEN YOU TALK TO A POLICE DISPATCHER

A police dispatcher will ask you:

    • the nature of your call

    • your name

    • address

    • phone number

    • Please give the dispatcher an accurate description of:

    • what is taking place

    • where it is taking place

    • the names or descriptions of any persons or vehicles involved.

Please remain calm so the police dispatcher can assist you in an efficient manner.

Given the priority of the incident described, a police officer will respond to your location or

contact you by telephone to obtain any necessary information and advise you how to proceed.
