Purpose of Web Site:
This site is intended to provide a repository for working information on Berne, NY Sewer District #1, a special district created to provide sanitary waste water  collection and treatment services to the Hamlet of Berne in the Town of Berne, NY.   Further, the site is intended to support coordination of the activities of the team, town officials, and volunteers, who are working to bring about the completion of this project.

The information is available to everyone.  The site is currently being updated by Peter Vance, Councilman in the Town of Berne and liaison for the sewer district, to support coordination and communication among those involved in the project. 

Contents and Conditions:

This site contains minutes of Sewer District Team meetings, a calendar of those meetings and other events relating to the district, copies of official correspondence, laws, financial information (estimates, budgets, etc.), plans and schedules.  Many of these are "working" documents and by their nature will be updated and changed as tasks are accomplished or new information comes to light.  That is the nature of a project.

This is NOT an official web site of the Town of Berne, NY and the contents of this web site are not the official documents.  Those documents that are public record may be obtained from the Records Officer of the Town of Berne, NY.  (See  http://berneny.org/ )

This site was begun on October 25th, 2009 and is incomplete (under construction).
