By john_re, on 090619 I think Zero Tolerance, for any security problems, should be the standard/default policy for all BTIP related security. Do the job right, lock all public doors, seems the proper thing to do, given the fact that crackers/thieves probably have automated systems to try every possible break in on every system they can access. Thought: How does that apply with the current policy of "all BTIP members can edit the BTIP website". So, an I really following "zero tolerance" myself? Of course, BTIP is an informal, semi-professional, all volunteer, organization, with only small, volunteer resources (& currently backed by some of the computing systems of google.com ;) ). So, I recognize the security/resources tradeoff. "Do what is best, within resources." How is that for a practical policy? == 1) Password & security measures for systems. Email discussion link. Please read this, anyone involved in any aspect of administration of any BTIP stuff. Thanks. :) " SECURITY IS JOB #1." email. Go down several items to the "john_re Jun 19, 6:29 pm" item, where the security discussion starts. == 2) Announcement email about the creation of this page.
