Our Story

Summerfield Dentistry opened its doors in September 2008. We are a family and cosmetic dental practice offering services to patients of all ages. We offer comprehensive dental care to the entire Piedmont Triad Region. We combine the latest technology with a common sense approach.  Achieving a beautiful smile is second only to attaining a healthy smile.

Ben Weston, DDS

Dr. Ben Weston was born in Missouri and raised ‘on the move’ in the Air Force. He came to North Carolina in 1986 and attended the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at NC State, and completed dental school at UNC Chapel Hill. He then spent 9 years as a Navy dentist eventually joining a private practice in Boone. He recently  returned to Greensboro, the heart of North Carolina, where he resides with his wife, a fellow dentist. 

Dr. Weston brings 14 years of clinical experience, as well as well as the skills gained from the completion of a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in the US Navy. Dr. Weston's hobbies include time with his wife and kids, hiking, running, playing guitar, saxophone, drums, cycling, racquetball, traveling and cooking gourmet Italian dishes. 

Denise Maness, RDH

Graduating from the GTCC hygiene program in 1997, Denise brings with her over 10 years of clinical experience and a warm, friendly chairside manner. But it’s the type of valuable dental experience that we like! Prior to joining the Summerfield team, Denise worked in a periodontal practice treating gum disease specifically and mastering a skill-set that is necessary to get your teeth and gums the cleanest and healthiest they can be. In her spare time Denise enjoys exercising, sports, gourmet cooking, and travelling. She and her husband, Chris (of Jams Deli fame) have raised three wonderful children and reside in NW Greensboro.

Abigail James

Abigail is our Certified Dental Assistant. Abby joined our practice in 2010. After assisting in a clinic in Burlington NC, she's moved closer to home and has found General Dentistry to be her passion, as it incorporates all aspects of the dental field. She enjoys providing outstanding dental care in a gentle and caring manner. Away from the office she enjoys spending time with her amazing daughter and husband. Her out of office passions are music and trips to the beach.
