With over twenty years experience in the Australian book trade, specialising in academic books, consultancy work is also part of the practice, covering marketing, publicity, proposal development and increasingly, ebook production and dissemination.

Emerging ebook platforms are part of the new world of possibilities of knowledge transference; possibilities that are yet to reach fully into the Australian writing and publishing and book retail communities. A wide experience in dealing with local ebook providers as well as overseas delivery platforms ensures that the new modes of transference are fully integrated.

Recent work has been focused on information dissemination that must encompass non-traditional publishing formats and pathways. Increasingly the book is a concept, a totality of argument, and no longer the final point of production. One of many key questions is how to deliver content to its many potential audiences whilst meeting the demands of new discovery environments and revealing the provenance of that content. 

Interesting times. As digital delivery becomes the main process of information discovery, the tools and processes we use will have immense importance. The book, when combined with extensive networks of public libraries, retail access and its ability to be loaned between individuals gave us something closer to a democracy of knowledge than any other knowledge transference process in human history. The question will be whether digital delivery can truly provide the same in environments where the search processes are not transparent - where the 'how' of finding is undetermined as the 'where'.
