Information about the applying to Highly Gifted Centers -Highly Gifted Application Information -were recently mailed to all parents of Grade 3 students in MCPS. If interested, you must complete the application and return it by November 9, 2009. For more information please go to the HGC website for additional information. Parent Information meetings will be held on October 12th 7:00pm at Kennedy High School and October 27th at 7:00pm at Quince Orchard High School NEW!!! Parent Volunteer Guidelines- this form must be signed and submitted to your child's teacher prior to volunteering :) If you haven't done so already, please send a water bottle and a pencil sharpener in to school with your child. Also, please remind your children to pick up their lunch boxes before they head out for the day :)
CHECK THIS OUT! It's a great Zaner Bloser site with MCPS approved handwritiing templates. Type in what you'd like your child to practice writing and be sure to skip lines so they can trace first and then try each word on their own. Enjoy!
Flash Drives: If you have extras you'd like to donate to your child's teacher we would appreciate it. Also, please consider purchasing one for your child to keep in their backpacks as well.
