Bellows Spring Elementary School PTA
Dear Parents,
As President of the Bellows Spring PTA, I would like to welcome you back to an exciting new school year. As we begin the year with the usual rituals of filling out emergency cards and getting used to the new routines, it is time again to begin our membership drive and to ask you to become a member of the PTA. By joining the PTA, you are getting involved in our school. This greatly benefits the teachers, students and other parents and it supports some of our goals as a PTA. We want to offer as many opportunities for our families as possible, but it can only be done with the support of our community. Parental involvement is the key to our children's well being and academic achievement. The cost is only $6.00 per person and is 100% tax deductible. We ask that you please fill out the bottom portion and return it to school in an envelope marked “PTA Membership”. Your Membership card will be sent home with your student later in the year. We will also be offering opportunities to join the PTA at our back to school nights next week.
I also urge you to become a volunteer during the school year. You can make a difference by being in the classroom, working from home on projects, baking goodies for a special event, clipping General Mills box tops, Campbell Soup labels, participating in a fundraiser, shopping at Giant/Safeway/Food Lion/Target, serving as an officer, committee chairperson or helping with various committees. You cannot volunteer too little or too much. The best way to help your child is to be involved. As part of the Bellows Spring family, WE NEED YOU!
More information about volunteer opportunities will be coming in future communications. I am very excited and believe this year will be a huge success. Thank you for taking the time to get involved.
