Monel Check Valve

    check valve
  • Limits the flow of gas to one direction only. Use a check valve between the bubbler and generator to prevent unwanted pressure build up in the generator, and a safety against a low level bubbler. A check valve, such as used on torches, is recommended.
  • A check valve, clack valve, non-return valve or one-way valve is a mechanical device, a valve, which normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction.
  • A valve that closes to prevent backward flow of liquid
  • A mechanical device in a pipe that permits the flow of water or air in one direction only.
    monel
  • Invented by the International Nickel Co., and composed basically to two-thirds nickel, one-third copper. Monel has good strength, excellent corrosion resistance against salt water and in high temperatures, but is very expensive.
  • A pliable and corrosion-resistant wire.
  • Monel is a trademark of Special Metals Corporation for a series of nickel alloys, primarily composed of nickel (up to 67%) and copper, with some iron and other trace elements. Monel was created by David H. Browne, chief metallurgist for International Nickel Co.
  • A nickel-copper alloy with high tensile strength and resistance to corrosion
