The Nordic House or Nor?urlandahusi? is located prominently on the hillside overlooking Torshavn. It was inaugurated in 1983, and is the Faroe's cultural link with the other Nordic countries. It's construction captures its Nordic ties with floor tiles being Norwegian, furniture Finnish, timber walls Swedish, glass Danish, and roof Icelandic. The building has a 400-seat concert hall, and is regularly used for seminars, exhibitions, music festivals, theatre productions and film shows.
