Lost in the Library: Preparing Our Students in an Information Age
This website was developed by concerned parents and community members after all middle school and high school teacher librarians were eliminated from Bellevue School District libraries beginning in September 2009. We are now in the third year in which students have not had the benefit of information literacy instruction and reader's advisory from teacher librarians.

We believe that access to libraries and a certified teacher librarian is critical to ensure that Bellevue School District students graduate information-literate, technologically savvy, and as impassioned skillful readers who will be successful in college and in life as informed, involved and enlightened citizens .

Whether you are a parent, student, teacher, or community member, we invite you to explore this site to learn more about the issue.
