The Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith
A Love Triangle of Unspeakable Horror... Elena Searching for the ultimate thrill, she vowed to have Stefan. Stefan Haunted by his tragic past, he struggled to resist her passion. Damon Driven by revenge, he hunted the brother who betrayed him. The terrifying story of two vampire brothers and the beautiful girl torn between them. Distributed by Syndetic Solutions, Inc.
Bella's Book Club Review: This series is similar to the Twilight series. It takes place in a high school setting, and the romance that blossoms between Stefan and Elena is magical. The twists and turns of the plot surprised me, and you will love to hate bad-boy Damon. He is Stefan's brother, and you can never tell what his intentions are. I also really liked the characters of Meredith and Bonnie, who are Elena's best friends. They are fun and colorful, and the story of Bonnie's special powers adds a fun twist to the book. --BBC Member, Nickole. Series Order: 1. The Awakening 2. The Struggle 3. The Fury 4. Dark Reunion After a long hiatus from writing, L.J. Smith has continued the story of Elena and her friends in a new trilogy, The Vampire Diaries: The Return. The first book was released in February, 2008. The Vampire Diaries: The Return Series Order: 1. Nightfall Upcoming books: The trilogy is scheduled to continue with book two, Shadow Souls, and book three, Midnight. Evernight series by Claudia Gray Bianca wants to escape. She's been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where th students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in. Then she meets Lucas. He's not the "Evernight type" either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him."I couldn't stand it if they took it out on you," he tells Bianca, "and eventually they would." But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed. Bella's Book Club Review: This book was a true surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and can't wait for the second book, Stargazer, to come our way this spring. You'll love Bianca and her Bella-like ways, and the mysterious Lucas is irresistable. The best thing about this book is how it differs from other vampire books we've read. I was truly surprised at the unpredictable plot, and was completely blown over by the end! --Deb, Bella's Book Club member. The author makes me feel just as confused as Zoey about her love life... that's good writing! I lke the idea of a school running at night, and that the vampyres have a goddess that they worship." --Shelbi, BBC Member This book I think is better then Twilight. The last book Tempted, made me

Bella's Book Club Review:
Tantalize is a cool vampire novel set in an Italian restaurant. I read this when it was first published last summer, and couldn't put it down. The book is cleverly written, and sectioned into portions like a restaurant menu. Clearly, the author intends for us to savor and enjoy the "meal" as we digest this book! --Deb, BBC Member Series Order: 1. Tantalize 2. Eternal Upcoming Books: Blessed will be the third book, in which the characters from Tantalize and Eternal meet. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
