Location: Albany Road, Deerfield Academy, Old Deerfield, MA

Time: Number pickups/race day registrations beginning at 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Race starts at 10 a.m. on Albany Road. Official time ends one hour after race start.

Course: 5K (3.1 miles) mostly flat loop, pavement and dirt roads.

Entry Fee: $10 pre-race/$15 day of race.

Awards: Prizes for top three overall finishers as well as first female, first Deerfield resident, first high school student and first active-duty military personnel.

Amenities: Water and light refreshments available. Deerfield Academy's "Support the Troops Group" will sponsor a bake sale on the day of the race. T-shirts to entries postmarked by 5/16/07. No t-shirts available for race day registrations, but they will be available for order. Restrooms available.

 Parking: Parking lots are located behind the Deerfield Academy Physical Plant or near the outdoor track.

Sgt. Gregory Belanger was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School and a resident of Deerfield, MA. He was 24 when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle in Al Hallia, Iraq. Greg died of his injuries on August 27, 2003. A scholarship fund was set up in his memory and benefits local high school student and other worthy causes.
