Some Buxton members have had great success using live sphagnum moss as a propagation and growing medium for terrarium plants. We don't know why, but begonias love to root and grow in the moss. Keep in mind, though, that using live sphagnum can be a detriment if you are planning to show the plant in a competition, as some judges do not feel it is appropriate.
