Hardware Corsair 800D Case i7 920 @ 4.2Ghz @ 33C GigaByte X58-UD5 Motherboard Noctua NH-D14 - 140mm & 120mm 12GB DDR3 Patriot Extreme 2 EVGA GTX 470 150GB WD Raptor -10K RPM - OSX 10.6.3 320GB WD - Time Machine 75GB WD Raptor - 10K RPM - Windows 7 64-Bit 700GB WD - For Windows Antec 1000W PSU Hackintosh Using the GigaByte X58-UD5 motherboard (which had a Foxconn cpu placeholder...) I had the most compatibility to run OSX with little tweaking. Essentially installing OSX using my MacBook Pro and a SATA to USB adapter, along with a program to install the necessary drivers for the hardware I was able to dual boot OSX 10.6.4 and Windows 7 64 bit successfully with full hardware support. Also, running the Windows install in VMWare Fusion proved amazing as it was running off the 75GB Raptor drive. New Case: Corsair 800D As you can see in the previous photo, the case had room, but it was a bit snug considering the hardware. So, in hopes to eliminate any possibility of higher temps and less air intake with no controlled heat zones, the new Corsair 800D was the best possible choice as it had all of those. It's the best case I've ever owned and the build quality is exceptional. Each component of the computer has it's own heat zone: PSU, hard drives, and motherboard. Also, the hard drives are hot swappable and stay very cool with the one fan blowing on them behind the "Corsair" piece on the right. The main benefit of this over the Antec 1200 was heat zones, less places for air to come in, low profile, better build quality, near tool-less maintenance, and of course huge room to grow.
