only one meal eaten out, the entire 8 days. instead, we packed along two coolers full of garden veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, peas, beans, broccoli, greens...) frozen venison, eggs, milk, butter, jam, and cheese. also a cardboard box full of fruit, and a plastic bin filled with bread, oats, granola, dried pasta, corn tortillas, crackers, refried beans, canned venison, peanut butter, olive oil, and condiments. like living in the lap of luxury.

Shhhhhh...a strict "no alchohol" policy is in effect on the body of water...all coolers are subject to search. Luckily...I don't keep my beer in the cooler...I have a little secret can sized zippered box I put it into at the bottom of my lunch bag with a bunch of crushed ice over it. Keeps my lunch AND my beer cold. How cool is that?
