Having been a busy bee most of my life, networking in 3 countries, and through 15 cities throughout my life, led me to call myself "beeing ben"
When I landed back in Australia, and having travelled all around my homeland, I found the Bunjalung on the East Coast when I got bogged in a flood in 2006. The number one guardian/caretaker of this nation named me (along with the number two guardian/caretkaer of the Bunjalung) within a few years of my discovering the nation. The link with the wedge-tailed Eagle/Phoenix was more real than a name, and to the right people, this totem of mine always seems to precede my movements announcing when I am coming. With time I tune more into this energy which has become my link to "country", and have seen that "She" knows me, and supports my intention of caring for her when living on the land with "Her". Of course, "She" (Mother Country) has become my first love, and probably always was, even though I have lived outside of Australia more than in it in my life. It is like coming back home, after touring the world, and finding my roots again.
I have written a lot of blogs over the past several years, under the name of ~Spiritwind~ which gained it's own following. I sometimes now write under my totem name, of "Pop Myban" as have earned the right of being the resident Elder to many 'welcome to country' ceremonies, along with living on country in community aiding those joining us, to gain a connection themselves, back with "country".
