Selection Procedure
To give athletes the best
chance of qualifying selection will take place in two waves:
1.
Selection meeting at Redborne
School (North) (New Building
behind the Sports Hall) on Monday 18 June at 7 pm. All teachers in Bedfordshire Schools are
welcome to attend, but voting powers are restricted to Officers of the County
Schools Association and to 2 representatives per district.
2.
Final selection will be made at 7pm on Sunday 24
June.
Since entries have to reach ESAA by 9pm Sun 24 June, No-one can be
added to the team after final selection.
Details of Athlete Performances
In order to facilitate
selection it is essential that we have as much information as possible about
each athlete. Therefore in addition
to the athlete registering themselves, we need completed Athlete Information
Forms as in the past.
Please therefore complete the
enclosed Athlete Information forms with as much detail as possible for any
athlete who achieves or is close to the ENTRY Standard *. Performances must of
course have been achieved in bona fide competition and be verifiable. Use a
separate form for each athlete. Please also send in a form for an athlete even
if you think someone else is also doing so.
I would rather have two forms than none ‑ and so would the athlete.
Entry Standards are attached.
NB: Achievement of
the standards is no guarantee of selection
Return of Athlete Information
Forms
In order to enable me to
collate the information prior to the selection meeting please ensure that I
receive it at my home address by SUNDAY 17 JUNE at the latest. Please do not
wait until the last moment before sending forms in case they do not arrive in
time; instead send me the form and phone or email any later information by the Sunday.
If
performances are achieved or improved after 17 June, please send a
form or contact me by 7pm Sunday 24 June
