These pages are designed to connect residents and visitors to information about activities for adults and seniors sponsored by the town of Bedford NH, groups and organizations within the town, and resources available from many other wonderful organizations in the state.

The Bedford Adult and Senior Connections website will no longer list current events, or monthly and recurring scheduled activities in Bedford, because these are included in the Bedford Parks and Recreation Department website, the Bedford Public Library website, as well as the new Town of Bedford website. Instead, this website will function as a resource for adults and seniors in the Town of Bedford, with links to local organizations, the Bedford Connections Resource Guide , as well as to many other sources of information available statewide.


What is There to Do In and Around Town?

  • The Bedford Seniors group holds meetings on the second Tuesday of the month at the Bedford Presbyterian Church, and takes frequent bus trips all year long. Call Charlotte at 668-1422 for information on meetings and trips.
  • The Bedford Parks and Recreation Department has many offerings for adults and seniors. Click the highlighted link to see their web page or call Jane at 472-5242 for details.
  • The Bedford Public Library has afternoon and evening programs of interest to adults and seniors. See their web page for Library Happenings.
  • Movie Matinees are shown at 2:00 pm at the Bedford Library on the third Sunday of the month, October through April.
  • The William B. Cashin Senior Activity Center in Manchester has many fun activities and classes for seniors, as well as meal programs and trips.
  • Catholic Medical Center and Elliot Hospital offer social events, programs, and publications for adults and seniors. Click this link, Programs at CMC and Elliot , to see the programs each hospital offers and to get more information.

We list many links to organizations offering educational, arts and entertainment, recreation, social and civic, and volunteer opportunities, as well as links to health and assistance sites, and retirement villages in town.

Are There Health Programs and Screenings?

  • Catholic Medical Center and Elliot Hospital offer regular health programs and screenings for adults and seniors. Click this link, Programs at CMC and Elliot , to see the programs each hospital offers and to get more information.
  • The Parish Nurse Program offers free or reduced cost health care and screenings at both the Bedford Presbyterian Church and St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. Please call the churches for information on their programs.
  • The Arbors of Bedford offers free health screenings on Mondays, all year long. Click on their link for details.
