Unforgettable!
There are neverending vines of beauty in Western Australia, especially in the reknown wine region of Magaret River. Many little townships there still maintain their aboriginal naming. My personal favourite is Yallingup meaning "Place of Love".

Gerda
Gerda is 94 years old and bedridden since a few months ago after yet another bad fall. She still has a sound mind but her sight and hearing are lost. She worked for over 30 years as a nurse, has never married and has no children. The Swedish government arranges for care-takers to visit her daily in the home and her fragile life is holding on.

Daily Special
Coming from a long tradition of food catering family business, "daily special" evokes much more than mouth-watering sensations in me. The days start as early as 5am in the morning, and nights are long with cleaning, cashier reports, purchasing, preparation for specials for subsequent days and the unevitable administration/ paper work. Even the life of a street hawker these days are governed by legislations and by-laws. No food business is simple in itself. It is always more than just the culinary experience. My fair share of "daily specials" are dominated by "Hainanese Chicken Rice", "Laksa", "Hainanese Pork Chop" etc.
