Hello Everyone!

         Thank you to everyone who attended last week's Mambo lesson! It was great to see everyone learning a lot. There will be NO Sunday Night Lesson this Sunday, April 29th, because the Ballroom Dance Club will be hosting "Starlit Night: A night under the glow of the stars"! The Ballroom Dance Club has worked really hard to put on a great formal, so we hope everyone will attend! On that note, The Ballroom Dance Club is hosting "Starlit Night" this Saturday, April 28th!! This dance is a formal, so please dress accordingly! In addition, the formal will be catered, there will be an area to take pictures, the ballroom will be transformed into a spectacular scene, alumni will be honored at the dance, and we have our favorite DJ, Ladarius Thomas, at the event!!! Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for non-students. Also, if you are coming to the dance with someone, our couples prices are $8 for students and $12 for non-students. Please, please, please attend this event! We have worked really hard to give back to our members and we want you all to be there! :) In addition, this is the last "Hurrah!" for the present officers. It has been an amazing year serving for you all, and we hope you will come celebrate the end of a spectacular year with us!

        NEW: There will be a Tango Workshop at the Globe (199 N. Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA) on Tuesday, April 24th! Clint Rauscher and Shelly Brooks of Atlanta Tango Evolution will be teaching a Multi-level Fundamentals class from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and an intermediate class from 8:00-9:00 p.m. Cost is $10 for one class, $15 for both. Blues Nights at the Office Lounge needs more people to attend! If you are free on Thursday nights, you should definitely check out this opportunity. Also, SALSAthens is hosting Cuban Salsa dance classes at Little Kings Shuffle Club in downtown Athens every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.!! With an intermediate lesson from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and a beginner lesson from 7:30-8:30 p.m., the cost is $8, which includes a drink! Beginners are of course welcome, and no partner is necessary!

        For those of you in Atlanta: Wicked Westie is on Thursdays!! Atlanta Dance at 2213 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA has started Shag group lessons on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. with Michael Cox! In addition, they have a 10 year Anniversary Big Band Dance on Saturday, May 12th! Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre (6125 Roswell Rd., Sandy Springs, GA 30328) has Salsa and Bachata class every Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
