Slipper Sewing Pattern - Strictly Comfort Clogs - Isotoner Mens Slippers. Slipper Sewing Pattern
October 9 2011 48/365 I was stuck working on Saturday and it was soul-killingly boring. So imagine my delight when I came home and discover that Boomer had spent her day making me a pair of slippers!!! I had purchased this pattern and fabric a while ago but the project was very low priority, so it was really out of the blue for Boomer to whip them up. They're adorable! (In real life, they're a lot less blurry than this picture suggests.) The pattern is from I Think Sew and the fabrics are by Kaffe Fassett. They're not as warm, of course, as my wool Burberry slippers, but they're really nice for Fall. It's like having scrubs for my feet! Thanks Boomer! -- Pk. (The slippers were just a small drop in the bucket for this weekend, one we declared was the most productive in Maple Hoo history. Pookie finished the binding for Henrik Jane, then got a chunk of the binding done on Taffy City, Boomer made these flippers, she and Schnookie made some headway on 2 Santa, 2 Sack, and Schnookie canned pickled pears, roasted tomatillo and chipotle enchilada sauce, apple pectin stock, and bourbon apple butter, as well as making a boston "scream" pie and making tomato sauce and chicken stock for the freezer. And then Pookie made brilliant labels for the canned goods. Whew! We need a weekend from our weekend.) Upper Pattern
The piece on the right is the piece that is gray on the finished slippers. I basically just copied the diagonal from the sole piece (plus 1/4" seam allowance), followed the contour of the sole piece on top, then traced further and further out from the side as I went down (the other line through the piece is traced on from the sole). The piece is about 3/4" longer than the sole. Same deal with the left piece. The middle piece is the strap.
