Welcome to a new webpage of mine to share one of my past-time passions that comes in the form of being an avid fan of Indiana Jones - I've been a fan of the franchise ever since I first came to watch and re-watch Temple of Doom which we recorded from TV in the late 80s... Since then I've began collecting Indy memorabilia and even branched out through one of my other hobbies of creative writing to pen my own Indiana Jones fan fiction...  Through my dedicated Indy page here I hope to share with fellow fans some of my rarer pieces of memorabilia as well as documenting the plans I have to write a full-length fan fiction novel in the future with the current working title of "Indiana Jones & The Mystery of Ages Past"...  (Chris A. from the UK)

"Indy

& Me"

As an amateur, wannabe writer of adventure fiction I've been blogging for a while to record my various creative activities and on my online journal I've blogged a few times now about the great adventurer himself:

- June 2006

- Sept 2006

- March 2007

June 2008

Earlier in 2008, I contributed my crazy, wild-eyed theory to the Indycast podcast about how the plot of Indy IV would turn out before it was released. You can still catch that episode by clicking here (my ideas come on at about 40 minutes in!) - if you want to find out more about this great podcast, you can keep an eye on the Indycast's MySpace page for all new updates as they happen...

AND now this page a mention on the Indycast in August 2008!!!  Click here to find out how to download the episode and listen in…

(All Thing Indy’s mention comes in at around 47 mins, 30 seconds of this Episode 39 of the Indycast – thanks, Ed!)

And even that's not the end of the story in the Christmas 2008 edition of the IndyCast I wrote in with my "Top 3 Ideas" for new Indiana Jones merchandise and my letter was read out (my mention come on at around 66 minutes into that episode of this brilliant show!)

..stop press! INDY 'N' ME PHOTOS TIME! stop press..

In October 2008, my wife and I visited Legoland Windsor in the UK and came across a familiar brick face... or two!

I'll be putting more of the older photos of my encounters with Indy round the world up here soon, so keep the "All Things Indy" page in your favourites!

Possible questions raised by the reading of
The Mountains of Superstition:

  • Is the character of Ketts, Herman from The Last Crusade?  The resemblance is obvious between the two (all that's missing is the bugle!) and the story is set in 1913, only a year after Crusade's 1912 opening sequence which also showed Indy's scout troop...
  • What was the significance of the lantern which Jacob Waltz so treasured?

(Whatever the answers, see my Indy fan fiction story The Quest of the White Knight for more of Herman Ketts AND Jacob Waltz, as well as his bear of a brother Joseph back in 1913... Just click on the link above right to read on...)

But what next?

Coming soon...

During 2008 and 2009 the Lego Club Magazine has released various comic strips and printed games on the Lego Indiana Jones sets - coming to this page soon will be scans of each of these fun stories and puzzles...

(Eventually, I'll get round to documenting

more of my Indy collection here, with photos etc...)

NB if anyone has any other info on rare Indy comic strips or stories that have been long lost to the sands of time, AND especially any more info on the now defunct UK 'Adventure Magazine & Club' for Indiana Jones, drop Chris an email by clicking here and you could even see them featured on the "All Things Indy" page...

Just enough space left now for...
"All Things Indy" in review!

Here's just some of the buzz being generated
by the rare Indy treasures on this page over at
"The Raven" Indiana Jones fan forums (NB on the forum I'm known as "BrodyIsDead"!):

"Sweet!!! BrodyIsDead is as skilled
as Dr. Jones in digging up buried treasure!

All hail BrodyIsDead, Dispenser of Indy Tales Rare and Valuable!

The Telegraph strips are pretty much the Holy Grail ( ) of Indy comics." (Plaristes)

"Beautifully done, BrodyIsDead!

It looks great, Google page or not.

I haven't been this excited since it was confirmed

a fourth Indy movie was happening!

Thanks again, BrodyIsDead, for bringing

those impossible to find portions of your collection

 to fans." (DIrishB)

"Darn tootin'! Yippee-kye-yay and Yee-HAW!

The page looks fine, BrodyIsDead. Karma does 'round.
Thanks so much for scanning them!"

Chris/BrodyIsDead, I cannot thank you enough!

Your generosity is UNREPAYABLE

and all lovers of rare Indy tales owe you their deepest thanks. I didn't realize you actually had

the missing pages for these other 2 tales

so this is a wonderful surprise. Now we have

all 3 stories - COMPLETE!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!" (Stoo)

You can check out the rest of the feedback for this fan site over at this link for the "All Things Indy" page on The Raven Forums

Finally, don't forget to check out the best Indiana Jones podcast out there, the IndyCast!

"Fanatical Indy Mock-Ups"

In 2005 I entered TheRaider.Net Indy Fan Fiction competition and won 3rd Prize for my short story Indiana Jones & The Quest of the White Knight... (click the link in the name and scroll down the page to read my award-winning story!)

There's a sequel story on the way entitled Indiana Jones & The Three Gold Pieces (the saga may even turn into a trilogy of stories, who knows!)

Some of the characters you can expect to cross paths with again in CGAllan's future Indy fan fiction:

  •  Short Round
  • Agent Smith
  • Agent Taylor
  • Musgrove
  • Eaton
  • Forrestal
  • Belloq

A couple of years ago,  I set up another "collaborative" fan Indy story across at an Indiana Jones forum called "The Raven" and you can join in by clicking here (read what's gone before in the tale then become a member of the boards and add a new paragraph to the story!)

I've become addicted to getting each new Indy Lego set as it's released - but one question remains... How in the name of snakes do you keep the dust off them?!

Here's a random but rather inventive Indy item I saw in Paris in '08 - perfect for a hot day in the jungles of Peru!
